Welcome to the Alabama Women in Business Website. While our roots go back over 30 years, we recently re-organized and changed our name. All of us are enjoying the invigorating feeling of creating a singular group for women business owners. 

Our members range from long-time business owners to many new entrepreneurs. At our meetings, we enjoy each other’s company as we discuss business issues with our informal “board of director-friends” and provide speakers who address different aspects of running our businesses. 

We also admit some non-business owners who have particular talents and interests in growing and encouraging our group.  

In this difficult economy, women continue to form more businesses than men, and this is the place to be to share your thoughts, suggestions, and concerns and to learn what your sisters are doing. You will also find people looking to you for services and products that your business provides. 

We are developing projects to bring in female interns and encourage our members to engage women interns in their own businesses so that these young women can become the next generation of women entrepreneurs. 

I hope that after you browse our website, you will realize that we are a unique organization and that you can benefit from being a part of us. We welcome you to attend a meeting to share our friendship and good counsel and hope that you will decide to become an Alabama Woman in Business.
