Andres Forero, MD
Cutting edge cancer research for promising drug
treatment underway in Birmingham
Dr. Andres Forero is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Scientist at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is responsible for helping develop clinical studies of promising cancer drugs for breast cancer and lymphomas, among others, and has received numerous competitive grants to support his work.
In addition to his scientific roles, Dr. Forero has an active practice, specializing in breast cancer and lymphomas. He is active on many scientific and review boards, as well as serving on the board of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. He and his wife Maria have one son, Matteo.
