About our hostess and NAWBO Member, Dorothy Sarris McDaniel ... Dorothy is the owner of Dorothy McDaniel's Flower Market in Birmingham, Alabama.  Although she holds a degree in criminology, she has made her career in professional floral design for more than 31 years.  A veteran broadcast spokesperson and public speaker on  the topic of flowers and flower arranging, she has appeared over the years as a regular guest demonstrator at Macy's, Rich's and Saks Fifth Avenue department store chains and has been interviewed by many newspapers, radio stations and television programs.  Her popular floral designs and advice on flower arranging have appeared on the pages of Southern Living, Southern Accents, Cooking Light, Creative Ideas for Living and Portico magazines.  Her "Design Your Own Station' column is a regular feature in Southern Lady magazine.  She also appears each Thursday morning on Birmingham ABC 33/40 Talk of Alabama Morning Show.  Dorothy still finds time to pursue her other passions:  fly fishing, upland bird hunting, opera, reading, and cooking. If you would like more information, call 205.970.6316 x 324 or e-mail nawbo@hrprism.com.
